This phrase is heard quite often, and a large majority of people dislike this statement. The reason is because that they feel that this generation of children should not be dumbed down by cartoons that put no effort into their work. Now, I am thankful that we have cartoons in this generation that, in my opinion, bring quality and entertainment that expands interest to kids and adults. A few examples that come to mind are Steven Universe and Gravity Falls as examples.
However, the only problem I have with "It's For Kids" argument, is that there are people who are being too general about the topic. From several comments I have read, it's as if children should only have to watch shows such as Teen Titans (given example), and treat shows such as Teen Titans Go! (given example) like they're forbidden, because they treat children like drooling idiots...
First of all, not every child is the same. Not every child is going to find the likes of Steven Universe or Gravity Falls interesting. Heck, not every cartoons needs to include morals. They might want to watch something silly and nonsensical like Uncle Grandpa or Teen Titans Go!. This alone does not mean they're idiots. It does not mean that the creators of those series think that children are morons. I don't know where those people are getting such implications from.
All of these shows I've given are cartoons, and they will appeal to a different variety of people. It will depend on the individual child if they find a show to be a "good cartoon" or a "bad cartoon". For example, large majority of people bashed Teen Titans Go!, yet it continues to receive high ratings. Due to it's popularity, it does have an audience. That audience isn't idiots, and I'm frankly tired of those who suggest that kids who watch "bad cartoons" are going to turn into morons.
That's all I have to say here. In the end, it's all of matter of taste. Let kids enjoy what they like. Besides, parents will take care of what they watch. Again, you don't have to agree with what I say here, but I like saying what I like to say. ^^

Total Dramarama - From Badge to Worse
Spoilers, of course. Haven't written about an episode in a while, so I'll briefly talk about today's. "From Badge to Worse" involves Courtney needing a "Make A New Friend" badge, and it appears that she's friends with everyone in daycare, except for Gwen.
With All-Stars and their attempt at making Gwen and Courtney friends failed, this episode to me felt like the writer for this episode wanted to handle Gwen and Courtney's relationship better. That's not to say this episode will fix anything in the long run, but it was moreso a nice several minutes of these two characters interacting, and that's what I really wanted, anyway.
Some may be dis
Total Dramarama - Duck Duck Juice
Here's my thoughts on the second episode of "Total Dramarama". This will contain some spoilers, and for those who have seen the episode, I'm sure you'll know what I'll talk about.
This episode involves Jude and Izzy daring each other to drink Chef's "Rainbow Juice", and that leaves them super-hyper. I liked this episode more than "Venthalla". Part of that is due to seeing Courtney in charge and sticking to the rules, which fits her original character. Some scenes with her and Duncan were pretty cute too, showing that she still keep him in line. Also, you get some interesting references, such as a crayon-styled flashback that involves a toddl
Total Dramarama - Venthalla
The first episode of "Total Dramarama" released early. In short, it was decent. I didn't laugh a lot, and I'll still need to get used to the pitched-up/new voices for some of the cast, but at least the episode itself was amusing to watch. It's still funny that after 10 years of Total Drama, we get this kind of spinoff. I'll watch more of it.
In case you're curious which characters of the original cast are in this show, here's the list:
What we knew already: Duncan, Courtney, Beth, Izzy, Owen
What we know now: Leshawna, Harold, Gwen, Cody, Noah, Bridgette
Also, Creepy Child Gwen is adorable.
A Journal About DA
I noticed it's been over seven years since I've made an account. Things have definitely changed in what I create, and how I do it. It's at least interesting to see what a few years does to someone, I suppose. I enjoyed this site a lot back then, wanting to post something everyday, and even doing a lot of RPs.
For the past few months, though, I'm honestly feeling burnt out here. That's not to say that I dislike the site now. I would occasionally check messages to see new art arriving from people I follow, and it's nice to know that some people can still have fun posting a lot of content. I just personally haven't had the motivation to do the
