Six Years on DA

Yesterday, I realized that is has been six years since I've made this account. So today, I didn't draw anything big for a celebration, but I decided to draw two things that I was a big fan of during the first year I was on DA, and even before I joined. 

Alvin and the Chipmunks was something I was fascinated with as a kid. Watched a lot of the animated stuff, and I still have some old fanart as back as 2008. I only saw two of the four live-action movies, though. Though I'm not a big fan nowadays (in fact, this is the first time in years since drawing fanart at all), I sort of got back into the franchise around last year when I watched the current Nickelodeon series for a while. But, the 80s animated show and cartoon movies will always be something to remember.

I now question why, but I had a little obsession for Despicable Me when it came out. I was so excited to see it, and I loved it back then. Early on DA around 2010, that was mostly all I ever drew, especially the girls, and with my favorite being Edith at the time. I haven't watched the movie itself in quite a while, and I grew out of it even early back then too, so it's been years since drawing anything out of it. Though, I did like the 2nd movie better, and I am looking forward to what the third movie will offer. 

So yeah, tonight was a little personal nostalgia for me when I first arrived on DA, to look at what I was into back then, and how my art "skills" were too. Six years has already arrived, and so much has changed. And I'm looking forward to having another good year here.
